PhD

Bio

I received my doctorate with the thesis »On Facticity and Existentiality« in 2014 from Free University, Berlin, Germany. I have worked as Independent Researcher in Berlin, Germany and in Knoxville, TN, USA. From 2023-2024 I worked as a Lecturer in World Philosophy at the School of Oriental and African Studies at the University of London, UK, after that I was Assistant Professor for Philosophy at Gettysburg College, PA, USA and currently I teach at Hagerstown Community College, MD, USA.

My research fields include political philosophy, African philosophy, animal ethics, the phenomenology of normativity, the desuperiorization and decolonization of philosophy, and women philosophers.

I have published on a wide variety of topics, including pre-Socratic philosophy, Baroque and Classical German literature, questions of Decolonization, White Supremacy, Veganism, and contemporary African philosophy, and women philosophers.

My current main research project aims at the Desuperiorization of Philosophy, i.e. developing a radically anti-oppressive moral philosophy, and at the Foundation of Superaltern Studies, a research area investigating the Western superiorist traditions and its self-representation as global moral authority.

I am looking forward to hear from you with any questions, comments, or request for collaboration.
